According to local police, American TikTok star and teacher Luke Rockwell has been arrested in Thailand for allegedly having sex with a minor and recording the act.
The 29-year-old Rockwell has 1.3 million followers on TikTok and was booked Sunday in the Wattana District after a mother accused the Florida man of having sexual intercourse with her 16-year-old daughter while he was teaching kids English in Bangkok, the Bangkok Post reports. The mother, who has not been publicly identified, told police Rockwell and her daughter had been messaging each other over the course of five months before the relationship became physical.
The mother apparently caught wind of the alleged crime when her daughter got sick with abdominal pains caused by chlamydia and gonorrhea that she contracted through sex with Rockwell, the Daily Mail reported.
After finding out about Rockwell and her child’s alleged relationship, the mother alerted the Department of Welfare For Children and Women, who joined forces with officers from the Khlong Tan station to take Rockwell into custody.
Officials have not commented or confirmed the allegations of Rockwell giving the minor STDs, and said the investigation is ongoing.
