At least ten people – including Russian mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin – were reportedly killed in a crash involving a private plane in the country’s Tver region, as reported by the TASS news agency.
The plane is reportedly connected to Prigozhin itself, and it might have been shot down by the Russian Air Force.
Seven passengers and three crew members were on board the Embraer plane, which was en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg, the TASS news agency reported. The list of passengers includes, in addition to Prigozhin, Dmytriy Utkin, co-founder of Wagner and Prigozhin’s right-hand man. However, it is not yet confirmed whether the two were actually on board the aircraft.
