Seven people were injured, including one in serious conditions, following a shooting that occurred in the early hours of Sunday in the parking lot of a nightclub in Houston, Texas.
According to Police Chief Troy Finner, the assailant allegedly opened fire outside the “Tabu” nightclub, located in the western suburbs of the Texas metropolis, around 2:11 a.m. Police believe that an argument may have occurred inside the club prior to the ambush.
One of the victims, according to Finner, is in serious condition and underwent emergency surgery. It is unclear whether his life is still in danger. However, the other six victims – including five who were injured in the shooting and another hit by shrapnel from a broken window – are expected to survive.
At this time, police have not arrested any suspects, and it remains unclear whether the shooting was the work of a single person. “Make no mistake about it. We’re going to find out who did it and hold them accountable,” Finner said, adding that someone knew who was responsible for the shooting.
