Bubbles with a view, please. The long-standing relationship between Italian spa and hotel company QC Terme and wine producer Ferrari Trento wins over New York audiences at the opening of Casa QC on Governors Island in New York. In Building 111, which opened last October, guests can enjoy a buffet of Italian delicacies accompanied by the iconic bubbles – a formula similar to aperitivo – or taste the selection of sparkling wines offered in the “Golden hour tasting.”

“From Sunday to Thursday, from 6 p.m. until closing time, all guests will have access to this experience by purchasing a glass of Ferrari. We wanted to replicate the aperitivo, which makes us stand out in Italy, inside Casa QC, called in this way because that is indeed its function,” QC Terme CMO Simona Sbarbaro told guests..
“With New York at sunset as a backdrop, this is the crown jewel of our long partnership with QC Terme,” said Ferrari Trento Vice President Camilla Lunelli, marking a milestone for the Italian company seeking to consolidate its presence in the U.S. market. “In the last three years, we have noticed a positive dynamic, thanks also to our partnership with Formula 1, and the United States has become our main exporter. Americans have recognized great versatility in us, from institutional circles to the entertainment world, to sports.”
Casa QC is the culinary extension of Building 111—nearly 15,000 square feet of thirty new spa experiences, some unfamiliar to the New York scene, such as the salt room. “There are also magnificent indoor waterfalls, an ice room, and new saunas, added to those features and services already available in the first building,” said Sbarbaro. New activities will come very soon, she added, with a third opening by the end of 2025 and new places in Italy. The New York community has enthusiastically accepted the invitation, confirming the trend of self-care treatments that has exploded in the post-pandemic era.

With blue or cloudy skies, starry or darker nights, the view from the outdoor pools over Downtown Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge is breathtaking. “In winter, especially on the coldest days, there is the same atmosphere that we experience in our facilities in the Dolomites,” explained Sbarbaro.
The imprint of QC Terme is clearly recognizable: they respect the original structure of the former army barracks while integrating it with Italian tradition – hence good food, wine, and an elegant aesthetic. “The only way to instill tranquility is to create a welcoming environment with a beautiful decor, a beautiful view, so that the other senses are stimulated,” and for a few hours you can forget the hectic life of New York, according to QC NY director Veronica Corti.
