L’ANGELO – THE ANGEL by Marck Art, alias Marco Urso, is an exhibition opening at the IIC-NYC on October 15 at 3pm; a celebration of an exceptional contemporary artist, strengthening the bond between Italy and the U.S.
Giorgio Mulé, Vice President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, will be present at the event.
Marco Urso or Marck Art, born 1982, had a difficult childhood. In his small town of Favara near Agrigento in Sicily he was picked on by bullies at school, and no one realized that his speech difficulties were due to his deafness. When he finally could come out of his isolation through a hearing aid, he discovered music and even attended the conservatory in Palermo. When he ended up in the hospital in a coma, “the angels” appeared to him showing him the way to be able to express his full talent as an artist, painting. He followed this path, became an internationally recognized artist and is now living and working in Italy and New York.
