A 5-year-old child tragically died after being found frothing at the mouth inside a “filthy” Bronx house early Sunday according to police and sources.
About 3:30 in the morning, officers discovered little Deneil Timberlake unconscious inside 2254 Bassford Ave., a walk-up apartment complex close to East 183rd Street in Belmont.
The father of the kid reportedly informed authorities that he put the child to bed at about 10 p.m. and woke up the next morning to discover the child lifeless. Sources said that there were no evidence of trauma.
After rushing Timberlake to nearby St. Barnabas Hospital, medical professionals declared him dead, according to the authorities.
PIX11 reported that the family has a history with the city’s Administration for Children’s Services. The medical examiner for the city is still looking into the cause of death.
