Police say three individuals were killed and a fourth was recovering in two different shootings in Manhattan and Brooklyn on Sunday night.
Police responded to several 911 callers reporting a gunshot victim between West 207th Street and 10th Avenue in Inwood at around 11:45 p.m. on Monday, according to NYPD authorities. When officers came, cops reported that a man, 44 years old, had been shot in the face, another, age 40, had been wounded in the chest, a third, 37, had been shot in the leg.
The oldest victim was transported by emergency personnel to Harlem Hospital in serious condition and was later declared dead. The 40-year-old man was also declared dead after being sent to NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital in Inwood in critical condition.
The youngest victim was rushed to Harlem Hospital, and according to police, his condition was stable. While authorities continue to look into the incident, no suspects or arrests have been made public.
In a second incident, just after 11 p.m. on Sunday, a 32-year-old man was shot and killed on Ralph Avenue in the Breevort NYCHA complex in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. He was discovered at Kings County Hospital with numerous gunshot wounds to his body, according to officials, and he was later declared dead.
