It was a violent Saturday night around the Big Apple, with police and sources reporting that at least seven people were shot across Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan.
Around 10:30 p.m., two people were reportedly hit in Livonia Park, Brownsville: a 70-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman, according to the NYPD. The former only had one bullet wound to his left leg, while the latter was wounded twice in the thorax and once in the right leg. They were both brought to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
A few hours earlier, around 4:40 p.m., a 17-year-old teenager shot himself in the left leg in a residence outside of Nehemiah Park, according to the police. Although his health is stable, the NYPD was unable to determine if it was an accident.
In the Bronx’s Soundview area, a 43-year-old man was shot in the left leg at the intersection of Bronx River Avenue and East 172nd Street. According to reports, his health is steady. The suspect, a white-shirted Hispanic male, reportedly left the scene in a vehicle and is still in the wind.
In Charlotte Gardens, a 43-year-old man was shot in the right foot five hours later. In this case, too, the shooter ran away.
Around 7:30 p.m., two other people were shot at the Manhattanville Grant Houses, according to the NYPD. One shot went into the shoulder of a 37-year-old man , and another through the right hand of a 20-year-old woman. Both were transported in stable condition to the hospital.
