A Brooklyn man murdered his fiancée and then committed suicide following an altercation over money and their children, according to the alleged killer’s mother.
Teddy Knight,35, and Tanezia Blockwood,29, had a tense past that turned fatal late on Monday morning when Knight pulled a revolver inside their Midwood apartment, according to Norma Knight, Teddy’s mother, who spoke with The New York Post.
Norma, 65, who lived with the couple in an apartment on Avenue I and Ocean Avenue, said, “He went somewhere in the cupboard and I saw he took out a gun and he started shooting her.” “He fired two shots at her, causing her to fall to the ground. He then stomped on her face.”
Then, she alleged, he shot himself right in front of his astonished mother.
Around 10:10 a.m., responding police discovered the two lifeless bodies next to a kitchen. Both had gunshot wounds to the head, according to the authorities.
“They had a problem for a long time over the children and the rent and money and everything,” the mother said. “It boiled over.”
