She is only 24 years old and has already a limited edition of MTA MetroCards featuring her face, elevating her to the status of music icons such as Dolly Parton, Madonna or LL Cool J and Tupac. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced commemorative MetroCards featuring Bronx native rapper Ice Spice to be available from Monday, May 13, at midnight.
Set up with Capitol Records, this collaboration honors the release of 50,000 cards of Ice Spice’s debut album “Y2K” around the city. The cards show a photo of the Bronx-native rapper in a black and purple “Versace Goddess” T-shirt with fishnet tights and shorts on a purple background. Customers–or better, fans–can find their MetroCard only at select MetroCard vending machines at the following four subway stations:
- Fordham Road 4 station in the Bronx
- Fordham Road B/D station in the Bronx
- 34-Street–Penn Station A/C/E station in Manhattan
- Times Square–42nd Street N/Q/R/W/S/1/2/3/7 station in Manhattan

Ice Spice, born Isis Gaston, started rapping and collaborating with producer Cook Babes at SUNY Purchase. Her breakthrough track, Munch (Feelin’ U), was released in August 2021 and promoted by Drake on Sirius XM radio channel. The song went viral and she inked a deal with 10K Projects. Then, she released her first EP Like..? in January 2023, which cracked the Top 50 of the Billboard 200 chart, and collaborated with Taylor Swift for Karma and Nicki Minaj for Barbie World.
