The “I’mStrong Foundation”, a new community for supporting people living with Multiple Sclerosis Support, will be launched at The Italian Cultural Institute in New York, on April 30th at 6pm.
The Foundation with its official establishment in NYC, aims to create a community for individuals who are directly and indirectly affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS), providing a supportive environment where individuals can find solidarity and understanding, with a core mission of facilitating the exchange of experiences, opinions, and emotions.
At the heart of I’mstrong Foundation’s objectives is to provide of essential services not covered by insurance for those living with MS. These services
include access to physiotherapists, osteopaths, nutritionists, psychologists, yoga and Pilates instructors, as well as speech therapists. By addressing these unmet needs, the foundation seeks to enhance the overall well-being and quality of life for individuals grappling with MS.
Central to the I’mstrong Foundation’s activities is the dissemination of information and knowledge about MS. By increasing awareness within the
community, I’mstrong Foundation endeavors to combat misconceptions and stereotypes surrounding that condition. This proactive approach aims to
empower individuals living with MS, ensuring their visibility and recognition within society, despite the invisible nature of their symptoms.
I’mstrong Foundation distinguishes itself from other associations by its. approach to communication. Reshaping the conversation around Multiple
Sclerosis through the power of contemporary art. Through innovative artistic expressions, including visual arts, performances, and multimedia installations, the I’mstrong Foundation seeks to convey the multifaceted aspects of the condition, fostering empathy and understanding within a broader community.
