Looking for a romantic getaway for Valentine’s Day? Look no further than the Big Apple.
According to a survey among users of the review portal Yelp, New York City boasts three of the nation’s 100 most romantic restaurants.
The top rank on the list overall went to Chicago’s Penumbra, a steakhouse with a Latin influence. Pane & Vino in Miami Beach ranked number two, with Café Monarch in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Cesarina in San Diego rounding out the top five.
La Grande Boucherie, a French restaurant located in midtown Manhattan, is ranked fifth on this list. Situated between Sixth and Seventh avenues on West 53rd Street, this elegant venue features a spacious dining space with high ceilings and a distinct Parisian flare, as well as a vast heated atrium.
No. 23 on the list is Café Mogador in Williamsburg, one of the best restaurants in Brooklyn. The chic eatery serves Moroccan food in a compact space including exposed brick walls and a tiny covered patio.
Thai Villa was the only other NYC location to make the list. The restaurant, which serves traditional Thai food, is located on East 19th Street in the Flatiron district of Manhattan. Its elaborate dark wood fixtures and décor go well with its menu.
