If you’re looking for a fun and daring way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, why not join the Cupid’s Undie Run in NYC?
It’s a one-mile run in your underwear that raises money for neurofibromatosis research.
What you consider “underwear” is limited only by your imagination; you’ll see men in their BVD’s and Speedos, women in CK boy shorts and bikinis, but also lots of “Cupids” wielding their arrows of desire—whether in red “diapers” or other whimsical interpretations of the god of erotic love, attraction and affection, the impish son of the love goddess Venus and the god of war, Mars.
As they say, “all’s fair in love and war.”
Flaunt your buff body, meet new people, and support a good cause.

This year’s run is happening on Saturday, February 10. The festivities will begin at the DL, at 95 Delancey Street, at 11:30am with a party full of drinking and dancing to get participants hyped for the 1 mile run around Pier 84 that will officially start at 2pm. And once you cross the finish line, it’ll be time for another dance party to celebrate.
How can you register?
You can register as an individual or with a team on their website here.
Registration is $40 per person.
Not into running? No problem. You can still show your support for a great cause as a virtual runner or with a donation.
You may be wondering, why is the run in your underwear? Their website explains it as so:
“We run in our undies because those affected by NF can’t cover up their tumors. They can’t put on clothes to feel more comfortable, so why should we?
Since our very first Cupid’s Undie Run in 2010, we have spread awareness of neurofibromatosis (NF) and raised over $21,700,000, thanks to the 108,600 undie runners who have supported over 225 events across the country.”
So far, NYC has raised $11.5k towards its $50k goal this year. All net proceeds are dedicated to NF research through the Children’s Tumor Foundation.
The non-profit organization has already generated 116 preclinical studies, observing tumor shrinkage with the advancement of the drug Selumetinib. Learn more about the Children’s Tumor Foundation and their research here.
