A shooter opened fire on two men at a Brooklyn junction in the early hours of Christmas Eve, police said.
At 5:57 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a 911 call and found the victims–who were 28 and 33 years old respectively–having been gravely shot on Fulton Street near Linwood Street in Cypress Hills.
The older victim was shot twice, whereas the younger one had been hit several times over his body, according to a police spokeswoman.
Both victims were taken by emergency personnel to Brookdale University Hospital, where they were said to be in critical condition, the older man was stabilized, according to police. As of Sunday afternoon, the other victim’s condition remained serious.
The gunman was seen following four individuals in a white Mercedes in security footage captured by cameras at the Brolick Gym. Two men and two women were forced out of the Mercedes by a “tall, slim guy” brandishing a gun when he stepped out of the mystery car, a witness told the Daily News.
Then, according to Garcia, the shooter aimed his handgun at one of the men, who raised his hands in surrender as his comrades fled on foot.
The source claims that the shooting happened approximately a block away from an illegal nightclub that is known for its violent fighting and drug peddling after hours.
