TripAdvisor named three New York City hotels among the top luxury hotels in the United States. All of them have a 5-star rating and are situated in Manhattan, with two being even on the same street in Hudson Yards.
The Pendry Manhattan West, which came in fifth on the list, received the best rating out of all the NYC hotels. According to the website, the hotel on 33rd Street has “some of the best shopping, dining, and culture in New York.”
The rooms at The Pendry offer “a calming sensibility to the city’s bustling environment with a neutral color palette, warm details and textures and the modern amenities synonymous with Pendry’s contemporary luxury sensibility,” according to Tripadvisor, adding that there are four places to grab a food or a drink, along with a rooftop bar that will open shortly.
The Bowery Hotel, which is close to the intersection of East 3rd Street and Bowery, came in at number 12. The upscale East Village hotel offers rooms with hardwood flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows, and in some cases, patios.
The Equinox Hotel New York, the other Hudson Yards hotel on 33rd Street to make Tripadvisor’s list, came in 13th place. It boasts a restaurant with a terrace offering expansive views of midtown or the Hudson River, as well as a spa and a 60,000 square foot fitness facility.
Nationally, however, it was the Hotel Emma at Pearl in San Antonio, Texas, that took first place on the list – based on “a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions” over a 12-month period
