Is it summer already?
Temperatures are poised to spike later this week, and will hit the mid-80s in New York Cit. This could potentially break a record set more than 80 years ago. It will feel like May or June much of the week, with mostly sunny skies in the forecast through Friday.
Tuesday and Wednesday come with highs of 74 and 78 degrees, respectively. Expect some sun and some breezes, too.
Conditions really heat up, though, on Thursday, when a high of 84 is in the forecast under sunny skies. And on Friday the high could reach or surpass 85, tying or breaking the previous record for April 14th set 82 years ago in 1941.
The weekend is poised to have some sun and some clouds. The high will be around 78 on Saturday and 72 on Sunday.
Unfortunately, it’ll likely be cooler and stormier next week, but highs will still be in the 60s. Warm weather is here to stay. Enjoy it while you can.
