A typical Ferrari will set you back at least $200,000, and very likely much more. That is, of course, unless you’re willing to commit a serious crime and steal one from someone else. In a wild heist on Long Island, a trio made off with not just one, but four of the iconic luxury vehicles. They saved potentially over a million dollars, but have committed themselves to a manhunt.
Officials said that around 4:00 AM on Saturday morning, three crooks smashed the glass door of the Ferrari of Long Island Service Center on South Service Road in Plainview, the island’s only authorized Ferrari dealer. Once inside, they snatched up “assorted merchandise” and “numerous vehicle key fobs” according to Nassau County Police. Once they finished up, they then got into two convertible Ferraris (a gray 2014 and a blue 2016 model) along with a pair of white two-door Ferraris (models from 2018 and 2023) and sped away from the scene. How exactly the trio managed to steal the Ferraris–specifically how three people made away with four vehicles–has thus far not been elaborated on by the police.
As of yesterday afternoon, no arrests have been made. The thieves were last seen driving eastbound on Service Road, and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing. No updates since the incident have been reported.
