InItaliano, a bilingual education promoter in New York City, has been looking at different ways of communicating and reaching out to its community, including teachers. Their aim was to find new ways to convey clear educational messages and provide tools to help teachers teach and students learn.
New ideas emerged and a new mind map was traced. With the support of movie director Vincenzo DeSio, the short movie “The Time Machine”, dedicated to Sardinia-born Nobel laureate Grazia Deledda, was created.
DeSio is not new to this kind of work, having been the producer of the short movies Filmesque and Beatrice (about the life of Beatrice Vitoldi).
The 2023 Award Excellence has been granted to DeSio and to Antonio Moscatiello of Indie Focus, a newly-born gateway to Italian indie cinema.
The award acknowledges DeSio’s unrelenting enthusiasm to culturally-oriented and educational work, which finds a new continuity with his latest production Fantadventure.
Fantadventure is a short animation movie which has been developed with the help of Italian graphic artist Cristiana Messina, and the support of InItaliano – Bilinguismo . The movie is expected to pave the way for a new approach to communications, and it is to embark on a tour of several American cities, with the support of Clerks Distribution, a network provided by movie director Luigi Di Domenico.
