A new documentary from Michael Cavalieri will be screened this coming Friday, October 21 at the Columbus Citizens Foundation at 8 East 69th Street, New York.
“La Porta dell’inferno” has been screened in Sicily at several festivals this summer. Michael Cavalieri has just returned from a month-long trip to Sicily for the screenings and discussions about the making of the film.
The documentary offers a very poignant view of the life of those working in the sulfur mines and the hardships for the workers and their families.
The Award-winning Actor/Writer/Director of “Ritornato” will engage in a conversation after the screening to talk about what inspired him to make this film, his second set in Sicily.
