After nearly a decade of service, Alberto Milani’s term as President of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce (IACC) comes to an end. It was a period marked by profound changes, strategic vision and a strong drive for innovation which contributed decisively to the institution’s growth and modernization.
Recalling this was IACC Administrator Federico Tozzi, who stressed the value of Milani’s contribution over the years: “During this period, Alberto has been a valuable partner in advancing the Chamber’s mission, bringing vision and energy to his role and helping to strengthen our network and expand our presence on both sides of the Atlantic.”
Under Milani’s leadership, IACC embarked on a process of profound transformation: from the strategic restructuring of the business model, to the relocation of the headquarters, to a major governance reform that produced one of the most modern statutes in the entire Italian chamber system.
He also supported the introduction of innovative services, such as the Italian citizenship program and the “Conversations at the Cutting Edge” event series, while also fostering the adoption of new technologies to improve engagement with the membership community. His tenure has seen the emergence of key partnerships in expanding the Chamber’s programmatic reach, with initiatives such as America Buys Italian, the NGA Show and the consolidation of the Luxury Summit. Also of note is his contribution to the creation of the IACC Milan office and his representative role on the Assocamerestero Council, with responsibility for the NAFTA area.
Picking up the baton is Francesco Farina, CEO of B&B Italia USA, who was elected as the Chamber’s new president. A prominent figure in the Italian design world, Farina brings with him more than two decades of experience in international business, having successfully led Scavolini’s expansion in the Americas and, more recently, promoted high-profile projects for B&B Italia.
